I was standing at the sink washing the dinner dishes when I noticed it. A heavy golden hue had fallen over the room.
I looked outside to find the evening sun trying to break it's way through the monsoon clouds. The result was a world turned yellow.
I felt like I was looking at the world through a vintage photo filter.
But no, it was real.
While I was still in the middle of trying to process this unusualness, I was summoned by my husband (rather frantically)…. "You've got to see this…."
I left the back window and made my way to the front porch
to see this
(please forgive my pitiful photoshopping abilities)
Absolutely, without a doubt, the biggest rainbow ever.
A double rainbow actually, but the higher one was real faint.
Maybe it's silly, but I'd never seen a full rainbow like this before. It was pretty amazing.
Made me feel very small.
Sometimes that can be a really good feeling.
