Ten

July 8, 2010

If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day,

so I never have to live without you.

~Winnie the Pooh

July 8th 2000….my fairy tale began.

I thought being married ten years would feel different.  That I would feel older.  I don't know, just different.

Really I think that I probably do feel a lot different than I did in the beginning.  It's just that the change has come so subtly I don't really see it.

I was listening to a Bible study yesterday, and the pastor was talking about his marriage.  How the day he married his wife was one of the best and most important days of his life.  And how all of the time since then that wonderful thing has only grown better, because they've just grown in knowing each other more.

I like the knowing.  Both of us growing and changing and all the while getting to know each other more and better.  It's really great.

I used to think the "two becoming one" was done when you said "I do".

Now I realize it's a lifelong journey.

What a sweet gift!

Me being the photo-obsessed girl that I am, how I could I resist looking back? :)

Fun!  Love the bright blue couch too.  I think Nick and I have literally 10 pictures of just the two of us, aside from the wedding.  You've inspired me to fix that.  Congratulations!
