Today my sister is 26. So in her honor, here are….
Fifteen things You Should know about Alisha & I
1. I have no memory of life before her. She's just always been there.
2. She was very bald for a very long time, which is what I am convinced has caused her lifelong obsession with her hair.
3. She's allergic to cats, and so of course was magnetically drawn to them as a small child. I remember feeling the need to save her.
4. I do have a vague memory of being sad to go off to school without her.
5. She looks innocent, but she was always really the wild one.
6. When she was two I broke her nose by swinging her around the living room while holding her by her feet. When I let go she flew into the baseboard of the couch. We were playing circus.
7. She was short & I was tall so we looked like freaks when standing together.
8. We were grossly in love with playing Barbies.
9. She was grossly in love with The Backstreet Boys and N'Sync. The only way we could compromise was by reverting to New Kids on the Block.
10. It is physically impossible for her to call anyone by their actual name. She either chops it in half, or creates a nickname that is twice as long. She taught her little jr. high friends to call me "Ashtray".
11. When I took her to see Titanic in the theater she wailed like a baby the entire movie. Not cried. Wailed. Loudly. It was ridiculous.
12. When I became her means of transportation in high school, she spent many car rides in tears because she needed an hour for make-up and I only needed five minutes…so we left in five minutes. This ties into the now well known fact of her life: she is always late. No exceptions.
13. She messed up my plans by moving several states away to start a family, instead of just being down the road. But thanks to her we have a great place to getaway to whenever we need a break.
14. My girls think she's very exciting. And sometimes I think I'd like to steal her baby.
15. We are really nothing alike. Nothing. But somehow we are friends. I guess that's the beauty of being sisters.

What a great tribute to sisterhood done well! Loved the look back, and the fun memories (some I knew about, some were a new giggle). Thanks for sharing in a way only you can Ash! (cut in half on Leash's behalf)
