Little Girls
May 18th, 2010 by Ashley
It occurred to me this morning as I was working on the second of three sets of braids that I'm kind of in a golden phase right now in my life as mom to three girls.
They all think it's fun to have their hair styled the same. And love if they get to wear matching clothes.
Everybody loves Peter Rabbit, Angelina Ballerina, and Cinderella.
Nobody is too old for dress-up. Nobody is too young for Princess Monopoly.
Everyone thinks that the coolest music is whatever Mommy says is the coolest music.
We can have group coloring sessions and bond over tea parties or play-doh. Nothing is beneath or beyond anybody.
It really is very special.
And fleeting I know.
As the oldest of a pack of girls, I know where we're heading.
That's why I know I need to savor this time. These days when we are living in the bliss of a house full of little girls.

Oh, I love this. Especially the part about the braiding and the music. So true and so temporary. Thanks for linking up.

A beautiful stage – but only too fleeting!
My daughters used to love to dress the same – now they dive back into their rooms to change at the slightest hint of any co-ordinated outfits!!!
