Monday Night

For Today… January 4, 2010
Outside my window… cool night air after a perfect sunny day.
I am thinking… that it’s late and I’m tired.
From the learning rooms… back to school today. It’s good to get back into a routine. I love that school break being over doesn’t mean my girls are gone all day. I’m way too attached! I don’t think I could take it.
I’m thankful for… my life. My girls, my husband, my house, my car, my yard, my laundry…all of it. Even when it’s not easy, I still love it.
From the kitchen… made a huge batch of cookies for breakfast today. My girls were thrilled.
I am wearing… the sparkly new earrings Hombre gave me for Christmas. My new favorite thing.
I am reading… all kinds of children’s books. We’ve started reading Besty-Tacy before bed each night. I’ve never read it before and I am totally in love. It’s so sweet. The girls love it too. And the chapters are short so it’s perfect for bedtime.
I am creating… menu plans. I need help. How do you get dinner on the table every night? This seems to be a talent that eludes me.
I am hearing… Hombre chatting with all his friends over Xbox live. It’s kind of like a kid with headphones on. I don’t think he’s talking loud because he can’t hear…I don’t really know why he’s talking loud. Oh well.
Around the house… the whole house is CLEAN!!! It’s amazing. I filled our entire trash dumpster in one day and loaded my van full of stuff to go to Goodwill. Now it’s all gone and the house feels great. I have this secret fantasy that it will never be a mess again. I know it’s not possible, but I can’t help it.
A few plans for the rest of the week… dinner with some friends…not much else. Maybe grocery shopping would be a good plan. I’m in a really bad habit of waiting until we have nothing left before I break down and go to the store. I don’t know what my problem is. HOPEFULLY my friend will be having a baby sometime and I will be going to hold her for awhile. (the baby, not my friend)
