Monday Night

For Today… December 7,2009
Outside my window… a crazy winter storm that didn’t let me catch a glimpse of the sun all day. I found myself seriously analyzing why it’s not okay to just curl up in a nest of blankets and sleep until spring.
I am thinking… it’s really nice that my husband can hang out ”with” his friends and still be home with me. (Thank you Xbox 360)
From the learning rooms… pushing through one more week of following the lesson plans…then we’ll have a week of “Christmas-y” school, then it will be time for a break!
I’m thankful for… blankets. I love piling them up on my sleeping girls on windy, rainy nights like tonight.
From the kitchen… chicken broth brewing overnight. I love this method. I’ve done it a few times now, and it’s just so easy, not to mention thrilling to cook once and end up with enough chicken & broth for a few meals.
I am wearing… I’ll give you one guess.
I am reading… sewing instructions. They make my head spin. In the end, it always makes sense, but when I’m first trying to read through them, it feels like there is no possible way this is going to work out.
I am creating… handmade Christmas gifts for the majority of our family. I don’t know what I was thinking. Way too much work to take on at this point.
I am hearing… Hombre talking to his friend about the “amazing” game they are playing.
Around the house… I’m revising my cleaning schedule. With Hombre’s work schedule changing, I’m in need of major adjustments.
A few plans for the rest of the week… I feel like all of my plans are kind of up in the air at the moment. I’m planning to make the best use of my time possible.
