Word-full Wednesday

This one speaks to me today :)

“…as Baron Von Hugel said, ‘The chain of cause and effect which makes up human life is bisected at every point by a vertical line relating us and all we do to God.’

This is what He has given us to do, this task here on this earth, not the task we aspired to do, but this one.  The absurdities involved cut us down to size.  The great discrepancy between what we envisioned and what we’ve got force us to be real

And God is our great Reality, more real than the realest of earthly conditions, an unchanging Reality.  It is His providence that has placed us where we are.  It’s where we belong.  It is for us to recieve it–humbly, quietly, thankfully.

Back to School

August 11, 2009

Of course I have to share our first day of school picture with you.

Miss A is starting 2nd grade and Miss E is starting Kindergarten!!!

This is my first year really teaching two.  We’ll see what happens.  I have a feeling the students won’t be the problem…it’ll be that other little girl in the house who seems to think she needs attention.  She’ll be the one making things hectic ;) .

I love how excited they were to start school, and I do enjoy 2nd grade schoolwork, but honestly, nothing is nearly as fun as Kindergarten.  We use this cirriculum and I love the Kindergarten program.

My favorite thing about starting school again is the smell of new crayons.

What’s your favorite back to school item?
