For Today… June 1, 2009
Outside my window… sunshine!!! I’m not holding my breath…the clouds have taken over everyday for the last two weeks.
I am thinking… a good night of sleep is an amazing treasure. Don’t ever take it for granted.
From the learning rooms…math is finished for the summer. Concentrating on spelling and reading now.
I’m thankful for… summertime…it’s my favorite.
From the kitchen…not exactly from the kitchen…more from my head. I had a dream about feeding the girls curds and whey (I think maybe from looking at this last night). I wonder what curds and whey really is? And do people really eat it?
I am wearing… I feel like I’m wearing children…could they crowd any closer?
I am reading… well I should be reading Through the Looking Glass, but I don’t know if I can do it. I barely survived Alice…
I am creating… birthday gifts that I can’t yet disclose…eighty percent of our extended family birthdays are in May and June. It’s a little stressful to Hombre.
I am hearing… the usual pleas of “I’m Hungry!” It doesn’t matter how early I get up, they start instantly.
Around the house… need to get back outside…only spent one day in the yard last week, and with all of the rain, the weeds are coming in quick.
A few plans for the rest of the week… softball game tonight, hanging out with a friend tomorrow, summer kids movies sometime…oh yeah, and leaving for Oregon on Friday! I think it will be fun. Mostly I’m happy because Hombre is really ready for a break. And there’s no place like the land of cows for slowing down.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…
All the girls can talk about is meeting Lucy (my sister’s dog). Hopefully they’ll decide their new cousin is equally exciting!
