Celebrating Memorial day with a fun family BBQ…

Also celebrating Grammy’s birthday…

Watching our garden burst to life…

Enjoying lots of time outside…resulting in little miss “pigpen”

Wrapped it all up with a fun afternoon with friends at the lake…

First canoe ride…pretty cool!

So what have you been up to?
P.S. This is post # 200!!! I guess it’s not that much, but it sounds like a lot to me.
Something sweet: the girls and I spent an evening at my grandparents’ house this weekend.
As I was loading the girls in the car, my grandpa (as usual) made sure to tell me how beautiful and special my girls are.
Then he told me “There’s your proof that God is good, right there.”
Of course I had to agree.
I’m on day five with no glimpse of the sun in sight… I hate to rain on everybody’s parade, but seriously… I feel like a newborn who has no concept of day and night…it’s all one big blur of black and gray!
Anyway, here’s what’s been distracting me this week:
5 ways to dramatically improve your finances - who doesn’t need this?
Considering my lovely southwest dessert home has decided to morph into something more along the lines of Seattle, this indoor safari idea might be a good one.
These pattern stories crack me up every time.
I really want to try making a new blouse out of a men’s shirt. Looks so comfy!
This story about a trash-free year is pretty amazing.
My fave this week… to be known.

A daughter is the happy memories of the past, the joyful moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future.

(sappy…I know. But it’s not very often I get a picture of us all together. And I’m tired, so … )
I’m trying real hard lately to get out of the habit of complaining. Real hard.
But, I don’t consider complaining about a tv show true complaining, so I’m gonna indulge for a minute.
Last night I watched this show.
Maybe I’m a dork, but I LOVED it. Totally. loved. it.
I’ve been seeing the previews for weeks, and it just looked so happy, and I’m so DONE with depressing drama (yes, you Grey’s lovers…I quit).
Anyway, it did not disappoint. Totally fun, pleasant show. I thought I was all set with something to watch this summer (since all of “my shows” are ending and I’m kind of in a panic).
EXCEPT, (thank you FOX) this was just a teaser.
The real season doesn’t start until fall.
…
…
Yeah. I’m so happy about that.
If I didn’t love it so stinkin’ much, I wouldn’t come back and watch it in the fall just to spite them.
Because I’m sure they would notice.
