Sharing Saturday

February 28, 2009

Yay for a week of FABULOUS weather!  (I’ve got the sunburn to prove it)

Here’s what I’ve been looking at this week:

I’ve never really given much thought to Mardi Gras,  but I found this post written by a New Orleans resident pretty entertaining.

I can’t remember if I shared this link before (sorry)  but I really want to learn how to make these.  SO beautiful!

This is just really sweet.

And finally, this was a huge encouragement to me earlier this week, when I was being distracted by thoughts of “what am I doing?…what is the point?”  (please tell me I’m not the only who thinks this sometimes).

Goodbye February! :)

Thankful Thursday

February 26, 2009

Tonight I am very tired…and thankful for a fun family day at the zoo.

Miss A had fun trying a climbing wall for the first time.

All the girls were so excited to discover a Little People Playground!

It was lots of  fun to have Grandma and Grandpa join us.

Aren’t they glamorous little monkeys! ;)

Blue Skies

February 24, 2009

I’m so happy for a real sunny day.  The last couple of days have been this very strange state of sunshine covered in wispy gray clouds.

I don’t really have anything exciting to share today, so I just thought I’d direct you to the new recipe the girls and I tried out today.  We had some lemons to use and these muffins turned out great.  Not too sweet, but sweet enough everyone thinks it’s an exciting snack.  I’m always so happy when a new recipe actual works out well. :)

Monday Morning

February 23, 2009

For Today… February 23,2009

Outside my window… cloudy with a little sun peeking through

I am thinking… I want a bright, warm, sunny day

From the learning rooms… wondering how many subjects can fall under writing birthday thank yous ;)

I am thankful for… my happy children

From the kitchen… I’m thinking about what to bake with my pile of lemons, but first I’ll have to wash some dishes because they are pretty much ALL dirty.

I am wearing… a warm (but not too cute) sweater that I got for Christmas when I was 16, and jeans

I am reading… Persuasion by Jane Austen…book club meets on Thursday and I’m only on chapter 5!

I am hoping… for a peaceful week.

I am creating… a photobook online…my first one; trying to catch up on pictures and there just seems to be no time for scrapbooking anymore.

I am hearing… Blue’s Clues, the girls acting out Blue’s Clues

Around the house… a huge pile of dishes, organizing the girls’ clothes.  So happy I got the schoolroom clean yesterday!

One of my favorite things… being outside in the sun with the girls.

A few plans for the rest of the week… a couple of slow days, then a field trip to the zoo, my book club, and show and tell for the kids.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…

A fabulous creation with play-doh bought with her own money:)
