After-Christmas Celebration

December 31, 2008

Happy 28th birthday to our favorite man….the one who lives in a swirl of princesses and baby dolls and somehow manages to balance it all out.

Merry Christmas!

Wishing you all the joy and peace of our amazing Saviour this Christmas!

Happy birthday Jesus!

Christmas Craftiness…pt.2

Somehow, in the midst of all the chaos, I’ve managed to get a little creativity in too this year.

I made new stockings for the girls.

The pictures are all from their first Christmases, which I love.

I also knitted a baby blanket for Miss I to go with the doll she’s getting for Christmas.

And my biggest accomplishment was making these superhero/princess/fairy costumes for each of the girls.

Here’s the view from the back.

Thanks to the skills of my mother-in-law, we turned this

into this.

And finally, thanks to a lot of help from hombre, I have this to remember the year by.

Christmas Craftiness…pt. 1

December 23, 2008

The girls have had lots of fun being creative this year (with a little guidance of course), so I thought I’d share a few pictures.

Here is the fabulous gingerbread house.

Here they are working on some other projects (you can see our beautiful snowflakes in the window).

And here are the fun projects we were working on that day:

Our “names of Jesus” garland (we made two short ones so they would fit in the living room windows).

And our birthday banner for Jesus.

And finally, we did make it back to that other project I mentioned on Saturday, and it was a HUGE hit.

After a demonstration, Miss A was able to do it completely on her own, which is always a good thing in her opinion.
